About Us

The Kitchen Affairs was founded by Brazilian-born Rosana Sanford, who has been living in the US for almost a decade. She learned the benefits of a well-managed kitchen at an early age with the master, her mom. Much of her family time was spent in the kitchen either by watching her mom cooking, helping out with the dishes, chopping vegetables or stirring some food and, of course, eating. She knew that her mom, even after a long day of work, would come home and come up with magnificent meals for the whole family. Time and money were short, but cooking never seemed like a burden. It was much more of a relaxation process. They knew that they would all benefit from it in one way or the other.

Now Rosana has her own home and an American lifestyle but manages to keep some of her values the same. Eating well is one of them. She doesn't believe you have to be a chef to perform well in the kitchen or slave over the stove. For Rosana, there are numerous possibilities of adapting one's busy schedule to better nutrition.

When the planning and budget are set, Rosana also likes to play with different dishes and new ingredients. Her culinary inclinations go beyond North and South American cuisines. She is also an aficionado of French cuisine. She admires its simplicity and the use of fresh ingredients than can make every single meal so delicious.

Rosana is happy to share her techniques and passion for the kitchen with her clients and hopes that they too will find inspiration in cooking for themselves or their loved ones, organize their kitchens better, and become savvy grocery shoppers.
